When to request training support

If your team is new to UV laser marking, or you have added a new line, training helps keep setup times down and results consistent. We assist factories in Jet Park, Boksburg, Germiston, Kempton Park, Benoni, Alberton, Midrand and Pretoria, and we also travel nationwide for plant support and commissioning.

Training is useful when you need better marking alignment, cleaner contrast on glass, tighter control on plastics, or a standard process that different operators can follow on every shift. It also helps when staff change over, production moves to a new site, or you need refresher sessions after a machine service or software update.

  • New operator onboarding
  • Refresher training for existing staff
  • On-site coaching during live production
  • Setup help after installation or relocation

What our operator training covers

Our sessions are practical and hands-on. We focus on the day to day work your operators deal with, including machine preparation, safe start-up, job loading, marking quality checks, and correct shutdown at the end of a shift. Where needed, we also cover fixture handling, batch changeovers and simple fault finding.

For glass marking, we show how to handle surface variation, repeat marks on bottles or panels, and how to keep marking position accurate across a run. For plastics, we explain how to get stable, readable marks without overburning or weak contrast. The exact content depends on the material, part shape and production speed at your site.

  • Safe operation and basic machine care
  • Job setup and parameter control
  • Mark position, focus and repeatability
  • Cleaning, inspections and daily checks

How to request a training booking

When you send a training enquiry, please include the basics so we can plan the right session for your line. Tell us what material you are marking, the type of parts, how many operators need training, and whether you need initial training or a refresher. If your team works shifts, let us know the best time window so we can match production schedules.

You can also mention the site location, any access rules, and whether the machine is already installed or still being commissioned. If there is a sample product or a marking issue you want addressed, include that too. This helps us prepare the right fixture, software setup advice, and practical examples before we arrive.

  • Site location and contact person
  • Machine model or line details
  • Material type and part size
  • Training date preference and shift times

On-site coaching for real production conditions

On-site coaching is the best choice when you want your operators trained on the exact machine, fixtures and products used in your plant. We work directly on the floor so staff can practise the full process, from loading parts to checking the finished mark. This is especially helpful in busy factories where load-shedding, time pressure and changing shift teams can affect consistency.

We keep the session practical and local to your operation. If the machine is in a plant with dust, heat or coastal humidity, we will discuss the care routine that suits that environment. If the line runs in a high-volume setting, we will also look at how to reduce delays, avoid set-up errors and keep the process safe and repeatable.

  • Training on your own parts and fixtures
  • Process checks during live runs
  • Good practice for shift handovers
  • Advice for plant conditions and daily care

Refresher sessions and skills checks

Refresher training is useful when staff have been away from the machine for a while, or when marks are not meeting your usual standard. We can revisit the basics, check operator habits, and correct small issues before they become costly rejects. This often saves time compared with repeated troubleshooting over several shifts.

We may review software steps, fixture positioning, mark legibility, and the order of operations used by your team. If the site has more than one operator, we can compare methods and standardise the routine. That gives managers a clearer way to train new staff later, instead of relying on memory or informal handovers.

What happens after you send the enquiry

After you submit the form, our team reviews your training needs and comes back with the next steps. We may ask for a sample part, a photo of the current mark, or a short description of the issue so we can prepare properly. If the job needs multiple visits, we will plan the sequence with you in advance.

Depending on the site and scope, we can combine training with sample testing, software setup, fixture adjustments or a post-installation check. That way the team learns while the machine is set correctly, and you are not left guessing afterwards. If the line has been down or the mark quality has drifted, we will treat that as part of the same support plan.

  • We review your request and site details
  • We confirm the right training format
  • We schedule the visit or follow-up session
  • We support your team with practical steps on site

Questions we get asked

Can you train new operators at our plant?

Yes. We provide on-site training for new operators and can tailor the session to your machine, materials and shift pattern.

Do you offer refresher training for existing staff?

Yes. Refresher sessions are available for teams that need a process review, better mark consistency or a skills check after time away from the machine.

Can training be arranged outside Jet Park and Boksburg?

Yes. We support sites in the East Rand, Gauteng and nationwide, including demos, installs, training and follow-up visits where needed.
