Book a demo that uses your own product
A proper demo should answer real production questions, not just show a nice mark on a sample sheet. When you request a demo, we work with the part you actually need to mark, whether that is a bottle, cosmetic container, medical component, clear plastic cover or another item that needs a clean permanent mark.
Our team in Jet Park, Boksburg arranges demos for businesses in Ekurhuleni and further afield, including Germiston, Kempton Park, Benoni, Alberton, Midrand and Pretoria. If you cannot travel in, we can plan a site visit or discuss the most practical way to test your product first.
- Bring your own glass or plastic sample
- Test branding, codes, batch details or fine artwork
- Compare marking speed, clarity and repeatability
- Review the result with an applications specialist
What to send through with your enquiry
When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page, include as much detail as possible so we can prepare the right setup. The more we know about your product and process, the better the demo will reflect day to day use on your floor.
We normally ask for a few basics so the correct optics, fixture options and software settings can be prepared before the visit. If your line runs in shifts or stops during load-shedding, mention that too so we can plan around your operating times.
- Material type, such as glass, clear plastic or coated plastic
- Size, shape and wall thickness of the part
- What you want to mark, for example a logo, code or serial number
- Expected volumes per day or per hour
- Any current marking problems, such as cracking, smudging or slow cycle times
How the sample testing process works
Sample testing is often the fastest way to see whether UV laser marking will suit your application. Refilwe Mahlangu and the applications team can assess how the mark sits on the surface, how fine details hold up, and whether the finish is clear enough for your brand or compliance needs.
We test for permanence, contrast and consistency. If a first pass needs adjustment, we can change speed, power, focus or fixture position and try again. That gives you a realistic view of the final result before you make any decision on installation.
- Initial review of your sample and marking goal
- Machine setup for the correct substrate and finish
- Marking trials with adjustment where needed
- Final review of the sample with notes for production use
What happens during an on-site demo
For plants in Jet Park, Boksburg and surrounding industrial areas, an on-site demo is often the easiest option. Thabo Khumalo can assist with practical setup on site, which is useful when you want to see how the system fits into your current process, line layout and workspace.
We look at access, power supply, operator movement and where the marking station will sit in relation to the rest of the line. In some factories the answer is a standalone station, while in others the unit needs to work with conveyors, fixtures or a manual loading area. Tight spaces, dusty conditions and coastal humidity can all affect the final setup, so it helps to check those details early.
- Space available for the machine and operator
- Power requirements and backup planning
- Part handling, loading and unloading method
- Integration with your current line or workstation
Training after the demo so your team can start well
A good demo should leave your team with a clear idea of how to use the equipment properly. If you decide to proceed, Anele Dlamini can arrange operator training so staff understand the marking process, basic settings, safe handling and routine checks.
Training is practical and direct. We cover what operators need to do at start-up, what to watch during a run, and how to keep marks consistent from shift to shift. If your site has changing teams or mixed experience levels, we can tailor the session to suit your operation.
- Basic operator use and safety steps
- Software setup and marking file handling
- Simple checks for quality and alignment
- Hand-over notes for supervisors and maintenance staff
After-sales support if you need a longer trial
Some businesses need more than one test before they are ready to move forward. If your process needs fixture design, line integration, preventive maintenance or spares planning, we can help map that out after the demo. Naledi Mokoena and Priya Naidoo handle scheduling and support admin so the next step stays organised.
Whether your site is in Benoni, Alberton, Midrand or Pretoria, or farther out anywhere in South Africa, the aim is the same: give you a marking solution that works in real conditions, with clear results and support you can actually use. If a part needs another run, no problem, we would rather test it properly than guess.
- Breakdown repairs and service follow-up
- Preventive maintenance planning
- Fixture design for repeatable results
- Spare parts supply and nationwide support
